AdlerCoat™
AdlerCoat™ utilises Polyurea as a fast-setting plural component coating with zero VOCs. Renowned for its outstanding waterproofing qualities, its rapid curing allows for immediate usage, boasting high tensile strength and elongation. This adaptability ensures resilience in the face of substrate deformations.
Leveraging its high tensile strength and elongation, AdlerCoat™ can facilitate the secondary containment of Hydrocarbons and can maximise the performance of an existing secondary tank.
The AdlerCoat™ range includes:
Standard: Ideal for hydrocarbon environment, including Primary and Secondary containment for hydrocarbon storage and Fuel loading and unloading stations.
Performance: Ideal for water industry, including containment of wastewater, effluent or weak chemicals, spill control, water ponds, vapour barriers.

How is it applied?
The first stage before we apply the coating is to ensure the surface is clean and dirt free, with no loose materials. We remove algae growth, potential contaminants and fibral material either mechanically using the high-pressure jet wash, or manually by wiping down the surface.Once the surface is clean, we perform any minor repairs such as concrete patch repairing, sealing any potentially weak joints or areas, and sealing any cracks.
The next stage is to apply the primer coat. A small aggregate is broadcast into the primer whilst is going off to act as a key between the surfaces. Once the primer has gone off, we remove any excess grit from the surface and clean any dust or dirt.
Now we are ready to apply the AdlerCoat™. AdlerCoat™ standard and performance is sprayed in one layer over the top and the edges are sealed. AdlerCoat™ chemical is applied in multiple layers beginning with a primer, followed by a base, three layers of glassflake and a topcoat.
If anti-slip is required, this can be added to the chemical topcoat. The penultimate coat would include a layer of aggregate with a stippled effect to make it non-slip. Non-slip is possible with standard and performance but through a different method.
Double-skin underground tank lining:
Our double-skin tank enhancement system is a cost-effective way for organisations to extend the life of their composite and metallic storage tanks ensuring they remain compliant until such time as they are replaced or decommissioned. The system adds a vacuum monitorable interstitial space to existing single skin vessels as well as compromised double skin vessels.
Features and benefits:- Installation and overall project duration rivals all other double skin tank enhancement systems.
- We offer a standard 10-year warranty on the product, which has a 20-year design life.
- Provides constant visibility of the interstice health via high-resolution sensors and our advanced monitoring panel.
- Both the physical lining system, and the monitoring technologies are proprietary and were developed in-house.
The system was developed internally over several years to supplement our compliance and environmental risk reduction services and has been certified by TUV Sud institute for plastics as compliant with EN13160-7 - the desired standard for double skin vessel lining.
Our double skin monitored system allows existing tanks to have their life extended and brought in line with current guidance. Importantly this can be achieved without the considerable downtime, disruption, and expense of tank replacement.
The interstitial monitoring system is interconnectable with gauges and other equipment for remote alarm monitoring and triggering. The system uses a high-resolution sensor giving constant visibility of the interstice health. There is also a 60-day logging feature that allows the status data to be reviewed or downloaded for analysis.
Older vessels tend to be pitted and degraded, our lining system gives a uniform, easy to cleanse space.
GENTOO hydrophobic coating
GENTOO is a dense polymer system that forms a barrier against corrosion initiators. This is due to its low surface energy, high density, and low porosity. The system is conformal, pinhole free, and very thin (4-6 microns) compared with traditional polymer coatings but far denser and more durable. The higher density of the system provides an excellent barrier to water and corrosive ions.
It has a number of benefits:Adhesion and durability
GENTOO has robust adhesion to painted, plated, and bare metallic substrates, as well as glass and surface primed plastics. The coating has demonstrated excellent resistance to salt spray, UV exposure, and chemical exposure – significant improvements over traditional hydrophobic coatings. Testing and technical data is available upon request.
Corrosion resistance
When used on top of other qualified systems, GENTOO further reduces corrosion and extends the lifetime of the barrier system and therefore the coated substrate. This is due to its excellent water and salt shedding properties and impact resistance. These properties also significantly reduce the effects of galvanic corrosion of dissimilar metals.
Easy cleaning
The low sliding angle combined with the high dirt and solvent resistance of the coating allows for easy cleaning of many surfaces with less water.
Ultra-Ever Dry (UED) Super hydrophobic coating
UED uses proprietary omniphobic technology to coat a surface with patterns of geometric shapes that have “peaks” or “high points”. These high points repel water, some oils, wet concrete, and other liquids unlike any other coating.
UED has vastly improved adhesion and abrasion resistance, compared to previous super hydrophobic technologies, allowing it to be used in applications where greater durability is required.
It has a number of benefits:Anti-wetting
The superhydrophobic coating keeps objects dry - water and many other liquids are easily repelled.
Anti-corrosion
UED offers enhanced corrosion protection since the superhydrophobic coating repels water, saltwater, aqueous acids and bases.
Anti-icing
The superhydrophobic properties of UED keep coated materials completely dry, eliminating the formation of ice or, in the case of frost, making the removal of ice dramatically easier.
Anti-contamination
Water and other liquids that contain bacteria or radiation never actually contact the surface of the coated material, so bacteria and radiation is greatly diminished or eliminated, and the surface is easy to decontaminate. Dust and dirt are easily removed with low pressure water.
Self-cleaning
UED repels dirty water and some oils and remains clean and virtually bacteria-free. When dust, dirt or other molecules accumulate on a superhydrophobic coated surface, a light spray of water or a blast of air grabs the dust and removes it.
Product life-extending
Many products fail from moisture, water, oil or simply getting too dirty for continued use. Use UED superhydrophobic coating to extend the life of electric motors by preventing the build-up of moisture on the windings, coat nuts and bolts to prevent corrosion, coat tools, equipment, and virtually any item that needs to be kept dry, corrosion free, de-iced, uncontaminated or clean.
